User-generated content (UGC)

User-generated content (UGC) refers to various kinds of media content that is produced or primarily influenced by end-users; as opposed to traditional media producers, licensed broadcasters, and production companies.

The Internet is rapidly changing into a pesonal media stage full of user generated content. The amount of information everday people produce and share freely on the Internet is growing. Here are a few of the most popular UGC sites. These include digital video, blogging and podcasting.

Shared Book  SharedBook is a technology company that has created an on demand, reverse publishing platform that allows users to extract data and content from multiple sources, manipulate it, then distribute their unique new creation online or off.

Panjea .  Allows anyone to create and organize customized channels of video content from across the Web with a few clicks of the mouse. Users can instantly share their channel with friends and fans or place it on their own website, blog, or MySpace page.

Yodio.  Gives you the power to record audio anywhere from your phone. Combine the magic of voice with photos and captions to create stories (yodiocast), tours (yodiotours) and shout-outs (yodiocasts).
