- If you plan to sell products online, e-commerce services such as a shopping cart and a merchant account support.
- Streaming audio/video (such as RealAudio).
- Streaming audio and video technologies allow large sound and video files to be delivered via the Internet. The term "streaming" means they can play the file in real time as it's received, as opposed to waiting for the entire file to be downloaded before playing. Real audio/video is not the only solution for having audio and video on your web site. However, it's popular and may be a good solution for a serious multimedia web site.
