If you are in a hurry and want to create a Website for your
business, club, organization, family or personal use for free,
the first thing you need to do is find a free Web host.
What is a Web host? A company with a Web server application on
a computer system through which electronic content, such as a
Website, on the Internet is readily available to any Web
browser.
To sign-up for a free Website host you will have to fill out a
form: provide your name, address, e-mail address, etc.
In return for your free Website, a free hosting service may
place a banner on each of your pages.
How much web space do I need? If you have a lot of GIF files,
photos and/or sound-files, 5 MB should be enough for any site. A
normal 3.5" disk holds 1.44 MB. For a quick and
easy Website, I recommend any of the free hosting services listed
below:
Note: A MB
(megabyte) is 1,048,576 bytes. A byte is one
character.
