Pre-FTP Checklist for Uploading Files.

Check your folder and file names. Make sure they are all in lower case letters. Otherwise, they will not work on UNIX based hosts.

• Don't use spaces or special characters in your folder or file names.
• Don't use more than one extension in your file name.

Click on your HTML file and check to ensure all internal links and navigation buttons work properly.

Spell check your web pages using an automated spell checker. If you don't have a spell check capability, defer this check until the Test step.

Printout and carefully proof read your pages. Although you may have checked your pages using a spell checker, watch out for misspelled birds (words) - see what I mean.

Have someone else proof read a copy of your pages.

Correct your errors. Make all the required changes on your hard drive.
