Host your domain name for free

If you already own a domain named, say, 1stsitefree.com and want your blog to be served at your domain address instead of at a blogspot.com address, Blogger can host your blog using that domain for you - for free. See mine at 1stsitefree Blog

Let's get started.
Check the status of Blogger.
If Blogger is available, visit Blogger.com. Sign in. Enter your Gmail account. Plus, your Google password.
If you need to create a Google e-mail account visit this link: G-mail account.

After you log-in to Blogger scan down to the bottom of the page. Click on Advanced Blog Setup. The information below will help you complete this form.

Blog title:	Can be any set of characters.
FTP Server:	An FTP server is a computer that uses FTP to accept uploaded files from users. The address of your FTP server will look something like this: ftp.example.com
Protocol FTP :	Only select SFTP if you know your server supports it. Most do not.
FTP path	What is the FTP path? FTP path tells Blogger where to place your blog files on your server. It should be of this format: directory/directory/ (be sure to include the trailing slash) /wwwroot/blog/
Blog file name:	index.htm
URL:	http://www.domain_name.com/blog/
FTP user name:	ftp-user-name
FTP password:	xxxxxx

After you complete publishing your blog using Blogger, FTP your domain name host and access your account. You should find the blog you just created.
