makes design changes to those templates simple. WordPress.com was
the only free service I found that gives you referrer stats

same account name. Thus, you can separate your professional blog
about your business from your personal blog. The only drawback to
Blogger is that you have to add your own traffic tracking devices
if your want to monitor your visitors.

best blog services I found for personal use. Yahoo offers
numerous free tools, a clean layout and they do not put ads on
your blog page. They also make it easy for you to connect to your
friends and family. But, you do not get a unique blog address and
the only tracking information they offer is page views and
comments.

Blogs. This is a good feature for AOL users, it is simple to
use and free. But, advanced bloggers may want to consider another
service.

Windows Live
Spaces. If you're tired of just reading or writing text blogs

Spaces makes room for Gadgets and interactive tools that visitors
to your personal page can play with. No WYSIWYG editor; limited
to Microsoft Office clip art and layout designs.

Blogstream.
Blogstream is one of the most powerful, easy to use blog sites on
the Web. It’s absolutely, 100% free! If you’re new to
the world of blogging, this is definitely a blog to consider.
Create an account, pick a category, and start posting. It’s
really that easy.

Xanga. They offer simple
templates as well as advanced options. To make setting up a blog
easy, you can use their set up wizard. This blog service supports
audio, video and image files. It also lets you add bullet points
and numbered lists. If you select the free version, you can
expect some ads and posts Google ads on your blog. This site is
more for personal journals, than business blogs.

Livejournal.
LiveJournal is another free blog service. It includes numerous
templates and lets you add your own custom CSS style sheet if you
want. It also supports some changes to the HTML code in the
templates if you want to individualize your blog. Or you can
embed your journal into your own website or create a blog from
scratch.

Vox. This is a good service
for beginners and so far the site is not loaded with ads. Vox
provides nearly 170 blog templates and four layouts with
customizable sidebar options. It is a free site that is easy to
use and supports video, audio and image uploads as well as
blogging. Add seamless integration with popular web services like
Flickr and YouTube.

Myspace. If your primary
interest is social networking and non-professional blogging, then
MySpace will work for you. MySpace doesn't hold itself
accountable for anything that appears on the site, although they
will take something inappropriate down if it's brought to their
attention. For a more creative social networking sites, head on
over to Piczo.com and
Flip.com.

Mycookingblog.
Here you can share your food views with the world. Post recipes,
write restaurant reviews - whatever your foodie interests.

Blogs

MindSay MindSay is
perhaps the simplest blog to use, though this strength has left
it short-changed in the features department. Some HTML editing is
on offer to change the look of your blog, but, it doesn't offer
the sophistication of some of the above free hosts, so it's hard
to get such attractive results.
