Create Your First Blog
These days, about all it takes to become a blogger is an Internet connection, a little spare time, and opinion on a subject or subjects that you're not afraid to share with the world.
Types of blogs
Here are some of the most common Web blogs:
Personal diary. This is probably the most obvious
use of a blog. Write about what you do every day or about your
home town or travels. Examples include:

Perspective Blog. This blog consists of reports and/or
commentary from several active duty military which gives a
perspective about what is truly happening and how soldiers view

Activist blogs. Do you believe something needs to
be changed or fixed? Blog about what you believe in and rally
others. Examples include:

Disability Rights, to the Environment and beyond, I ... to learn
about the various struggles and movements that are alive in this

research in protein structure get in the way of defending
scientific and social progress.
News. Keep a blog of the latest big news events.
Talk about what you think about what’s going on in the
world or any given niche.

World Newser This is a high profile world news blog. From ABC

News continually updated from thousands of sources around the
net.
Celebrities and Gossip. Let other fans know
what’s going on with your favorite celebrities and shows.
Dish the dirt like they do on target="blank">TMZ.com.
Hobby. Have a favorite hobby? It’s a good
bet that a lot of other people on the Internet are interested in
the same thing. Write about it and invite other’s to join
you.

Tech blogs. Because of the technological nature of
the Web, tech enthusiasts are all over the blogosphere and new
Tech blogs are starting daily.
- "http://www.facebook.com/">Facebook. Is a social networking
service that lets you connect with friends, co-workers, and
others who share similar interests or who have common
backgrounds. - "http://twitter.com/">Twitter. Twitter is an interesting and
practical real-time messaging system for groups and friends. - "http://www.flickr.com/">Flickr. Flickr is one of the most
popular photo storage and sharing sites around, and there's a
good reason for that. It's free and easy to use, and it features
various methods for sorting, categorizing and tagging

Corporate blogs. Corporations are finding blogs as
excellent opportunities to get their message out and communicate
with customers. Examples:

Blogs.sun.com! This space is accessible to any Sun employee to

"blank">Dell’s Direct2Dell. Corporate weblog which aims
to address issues that are important to its customers.

pretty simple since there are many sites willing to host your
blog for free. Building a blog using one of these blog hosts is
as simple as signing up for the service and filling in the
content.
